New start - March 16, 2008

Well it's a new start for us as our last BLOG turned Japanese after we blogged on our Tokyo trip and we thought it a good idea to start again! (I'm not joking, as the author, all the instructions turned into Japanese characters and we couldn't get it back to English which is part of the reason we haven't put the final Tokyo photos in and why there's been no more entries).

Finally we're on our way. It's a bit of a strange day to do it as its absolutely sweltering in our fair city. It's been over 30 degrees for most of the last 10 days, even though it's March! On Thursday, Friday and today it's been 39 degrees which is just ridiculous. We had a bit of relief on Friday night with a slight cool change, it got down to 29 degrees and styed at 29/30 for Saturday.

Anyway that's all boring, sorry for that.

I need to backtrack a bit to late 2007 and share our experiences for Mark's big day (no he didn't get married (to anyone else I know), he had his 40th birthday.

We had a brilliant night on the roof with a fantastic DJ we found at The Arts Centre (www.the artscentre.net.au) whilst sitting around relaxing at a free concert last November. We had Marika do the catering and it was a Spanish affair, the ultimate extravaganza was the hand-made churros and chocoloate sauce for dessert! Marika managed to find an original machine to create the churros with. Fantastic.
