It was a lovely service and the sun streaming through the stained-glass windows gave out beautiful patterns on the wall behind. Afterwards we had a drink at the Albert Park Hotel (down the road) whilst the bridal party had photos taken and saw all of the Collingwood yobbos as they celebrated their victory (we'll never hear the end of how 'justice was served').

Rod, Mark and I then hopped in a taxi to Riva in Elwood for the reception on the water. It was a glorious night, a bit chilly if you were standing away from the outdoor heaters but very pretty with the lights on, along the beachfront. A small reception of about 40 people, we had fantastic food and as Cath (sorry I should say Cathy) knows, we love our food.
Riva actually served up their fantastic dishes as 4-taste entree and main. The guests coudln't believe their luck to try everything - all of which sounded good and tasted better. This was following some very nice canapes on arrival.
We were all stuffed to the gills before the speeches and that's when we discovered some interesting home truths from Cath's brother (who clearly calls her Cathy). I have the same problem with friends who've known me for 15 yrs plus. I wont mention the name.
After a bit of dancing and some 'after wedding' drinks at Cath & Darren's lovely new property, we eventually got to bed at 3am (after changing for daylight savings).
The only concern was Lori coming up at 10am from Warbuton to the city!
Blearly eyed, we had a lovely few hours with Lori in town before she went off to do some last minute shopping for her big USA trip.
